Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Need help funding your college dreams? It starts with completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Student Aid plays a central and essential role in supporting postsecondary education by providing money for college, vocational school, or graduate school to eligible students and families. Financial aid covers such expenses as tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation. Aid can even pay for a computer and dependent care.

Who can get Federal Student Aid?

  • U.S. Citizens or eligible noncitizens,
  • Individuals with a valid Social Security number,
  • Individuals who are qualified to obtain postsecondary education by:
    • having a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate;
    • meeting other federally approved standards the State established; or
    • completing a high school education in a homeschool setting approved under State law.

What do you need to complete the application?

  • Copy of current years’ income tax documents
  • Social Security Numbers
  • Two PIN Numbers  (Parent/Student)
  • Driver’s License Number
